Upgrade Jira Server from 7.5.3 to the newest Jira

I would like to upgrade Jira Server from 7.5.3 to the newest Jira. 

Are there any issues that I should be aware of?

One thing it doesn't emphasise that I would like to is that you should skim the release notes for each intermediate version - I say skim because issues and warnings will jump out at you (if there are any) so you don't need to read the entire doc for everything - 7.6, 7.7, 7.8 etc.
