I'm trying to dig up information on the consequences of changing an Org name within Jira Service Management (a client is rebranding and we would like to update their Org name in the JSM project).
I can't find any info on whether "editing" the JSM Org name will update all their issues retro-actively (i.e. ticket created / closed in 2019 will now show "new-org-name" as the Org.
The client's smtp's are changing also... this sounds like it's going to cause an issue of duplicate accounts.
Does anyone have any experience with such an Org name change?
@Rosa M Fossi If you change a customer organization name it will change it on all issues open or closed. I cannot think of any consequences that you should be worried about.
