Updating Flag Comment

I want to be able to "edit" the comment against a flag without having to remove it and add it back in.  Is this possible?  I have an item that remains blocked but the reason it's blocked has changed.

Hi Anita - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The Flag comment is simply a comment on the work item. If you have the Edit comment permission, you should be able to edit it under the Comments section on the work item.

From a pure 'number of steps' view it could be easily to unflag then reflag.

This would show up in the audit log, but editing the comment will as well.

Since the reason for the block changed you could also argue a 'new' flag is needed, but entirely up to your teams process.
