Update JIRA Software before migrate to cloud

Hello!

I have a question regarding migration to Jira and Confluence to the cloud. Currently I have version 8.20.0 in Jira and 7.13.7 in Confluence. Do I need to renew the version before migration or do I need a valid maintenance contract?
Do I need to renew the apps I want to migrate as well?

Hello @Ma_GD ! Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You will need to have active maintenance licenses for Jira and Confluence and their apps to have a smoother migration.

The server versions you are on will work with the Cloud Migration apps, but as @Nicolas Grossi recommends, it's prudent to be on the latest LTS versions.
