Uneditable custom field

Natalia Kuklich October 9, 2025

Hi,
I've added a new custom Paragraph field as I did prior to it many times
By some reason it's uneditable in the tickets...
I can't find any reason

Hello @Natalia Kuklich

Welcome to the Jira community!!

Could you please check if the field is on the three screen i.e is Create, Edit and View.

It might be missing from edit screen specifically.

Thanks

It's present on all screens

Hello @Natalia Kuklich

Exactly where you are unable to edit the custom field. On issue creation or on after creating the issue.

Thanks

Hello @Natalia Kuklich

Thanks. Could you please check few of things like,

-- The right custom field is on the edit screen (there could be two fields with the similar name)

-- Whether any plugin is working behind the scene which is stopping that field to edit?

-- Make one more similar field like this with some twist in name and try to add and check if still the same issue with new one?

Let me know if any of these works.

Thanks

THanks @Asha Goyal
I've re-created the field from the scratch and it finally worked
