Undone issues crossed out as "DONE"

I created a couple of issues linked to a feature that was subsequently linked to an EPIC. However, the issues, though still in the backlog are already crossed out as though the are ''DONE" and the sprint hasn't even started.

Help please!

Sounds like an inexperienced admin has put the "resolution" field on the "create issue" screen.  You'll need to get it removed before you create any more issues.
