Unable to see “Delete” option for attachments in Jira, even as Admin

When I open an issue and navigate to the Attachments section, clicking the three-dot (⋯) menu only shows the following options:

• Switch to list view

• Download all

I don’t see any option to delete the attachment, neither from the attachment thumbnail nor from the attachment preview screen.

Additional context

• I am not the original uploader of the attachment

• The attachment was uploaded by another user

• I have granted both myself and the other user the “Delete All Attachments” permission in the project permissions

Given this setup, I expected the Delete option to be visible, but it still isn’t appearing.

Any insights or suggestions would be appreciated.

Looks like the attachment was uploaded via comment or a field. In that case, find the field or comment the attachment was added to and delete it from there.

Hi @Nandini Kaushal , assuming you indeed have the permissions set correctly, can you try creating an issue and adding an attachment then deleting? Screenshots of what you see would be helpful.
