I am in my Jira Sandbox settings under System --> Import and Export --> Import Jira Cloud.
My Jira Backup folder structure is as follows:
- Jira_Backup-2022-03-25\activeobjects,xml
- Jira_Backup-2022-03-25\entities,xml
- Jira_Backup-2022-03-25\data\attachments
- Jira_Backup-2022-03-25\data\avatars
I got the Backup from my Prod cloud instance and am trying to import it into my Sandbox instance.
Following the article on https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/how-to-import-only-part-of-a-jira-export-into-jira-cloud-859461966.html , I am trying to only upload the activeobjects.xml and entities.xml files.
So, like the article says, I unzipped the Jira_Backup-2022-03-25.zip, I deleted the attachments directory and the avatars directory in Jira_Backup-2022-03-25\data then re-zipped Jira_Backup-2022-03-25.zip meaning the new folder structure was:
- Jira_Backup-2022-03-25\activeobjects,xml
- Jira_Backup-2022-03-25\entities,xml
- Jira_Backup-2022-03-25\data <---- (data folder is now empty).
I then click "Import data" and upload the new Jira_Backup-2022-03-25.zip. The system processes it for a while but then it eventually errors saying the following:
"Import error
There was an error importing file jira-export23032022.zip. Following issues were reported:
This doesn't make any sense however as my zip file does contain entities.xml.
Can anyone please let me know if I am missing some steps/doing something wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
