Hi, I have a user who has managed to change his login email (say to Bobby.com). He initially use, say albert.com, to login to Confluence & Jira.
Now he no longer is able to login using the new email address (bobby.com).
He used the http://id.atlassian.com link to make the email address change.
I am the admin and i looked at the user access and it still states albert.com is the active login email address.
Urgent help needed as what do i need to do now?
Best regards
Ethan
Hi @Ethan
I do see your question being a little vague at some points. But let me put it this way.
1) If he changed his email in id.atlassian.com, that changes his Atlassian account mail ID and in no way is related to the account you are using.
2) Changing your credentials in Atlassian portal/community wont affect your instance's credentials
3) Your user has to login with the username that is defined in your instance.
4) If he wants to change his email ID it must be done by a Jira-Admin (You) in your instance.
Hope that helps!
Hi Vinu,
Thanks for the feedback.
What he want is the email notifications of a change is sent to his "bobby.com" email address instead of his "albert.com" email address. When you indicate that (1) changes his Atlassian account email ID, does this meet the above need?
If not, is there any link that guides me as an admin how to change his email id as I could not find where it is that I can do so.
Thanks again for your help.
