Hi all,
I’m currently exploring Jira and came across the Goals app, which I’d really like to try out. However, I seem unable to find it anywhere in my Jira instance.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
It doesn’t appear in my side panel.
When I go to Admin → Apps → Atlassian apps, it’s not listed there either.
I searched for it in the Atlassian Marketplace but couldn’t find any official “Goals” app from Atlassian.
Interestingly, when I go to the Goals view in my space, Jira displays a message saying:
“Since the Goals app is free to use for all Jira users, you can ask your admin to enable it now to try it out.”
The link at the bottom just takes me back to the Jira home page, with no further reference to the Goals app.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is the Goals app being rolled out gradually, or is there a specific setting or permission required to make it visible?
Thanks in advance for your help!
I appreciate your help, but I really need clearer guidance, ideally a screenshot or a precise navigation path, on where exactly I can enable the “Goals license.”
I’ve already checked under Administration → Users, I’m the only user listed of course, and the only option available in the three-dot menu is “Add to group.” There’s nothing related to Goals or licensing there.
This is quite frustrating. The Goals feature is clearly referenced in the project view, as well as in the official documentation and tutorial videos, yet it’s completely missing from my instance.

Hi,
I have the exact same issue and would appreciate some form of feedback on this topic.
For me there was also no option under user management.
Best
