Unable to edit workflow for a project even though having project and admin access to that project

Hi all,

User is having the Admin access and Project access and she is in Administrator role fort that project.

But she is not able to edit the workflow even though that workflow is associated to that alone.

We are not supposed to give her the "site admin" access. Is there any alternative way for this. and what might be the cause.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Sravan

Hi @Sravan Indukur ,

For Company-managed projects, only Jira admin, site-admin and Org admin can modify the workflow.

You can give Jira admin access to the user but please understand that with Jira admin access, user will get a good level of access and can make global level changes in Jira.

If you can't give this level of access to the user, you can go for Team-managed project where project admin can modify the workflow.

Please let me know if you further question. Thanks.

Hi Sravan,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

It depends on what type of project you have. Atlassian documentation says:

We have two types of projects: company-managed and team-managed projects in Jira Work Management. Company-managed projects are set up and maintained by Jira admins and provide advanced configuration options that can be shared between projects. Team-managed projects are able to be set up and maintained by project admins from individual teams, with simple yet powerful configuration options that are easy to use.
