Good morning!
We are having a challenge updating the CATEGORIES field on the card view of an issue. We have set categories and are able to update them from the list view in a work-managed board, but not from the card view itself. This started this morning, previously the user managing this board was able to do so from the card view.
Here is what I have checked so far:
1) There are no permissions JIRA wide based on categories
2) The appropriate project roles and user groups have access to edit issues
What else am I missing here?

Can you confirm that this applies to a Business/Work Management project?
And can you tell us if the project is Team Managed or Company Managed? That information will show at the bottom of the panel on the left.
Can you show us a screen image of where you are trying to change the category?
Are you trying to change the field to a new value that already exists or create a new value for the field?

This is a Work Management Project that is Team Managed. We are trying to update the category from the actual card. Yesterday we could not update to a value that was already existing OR select an already existing value from this field when creating a new issue.
Oddly enough, it seems like today it is behaving appropriately.
