Unable to create a Sprint

I am unable to create Drop down values for Sprints. when i go to project setting and fields to customize , Sprint field appears as readonly. Please let me know how to create a Sprint values Like Sprint1 , sprint2 etc

Thanks for the reply.. This helped with additional info. The thing is I created kanaban board instead of the scrum board.

Hi @Gopi P ,

Make sure you have appropriate permissions to create a sprint. You need to have the manage sprint permission in all project, issues of which are selected for the board. Or the filter was causing issues as Jira can't figure out which project(s) the board is related to.

If you hove over the create button, you will see a detailed message.
