Hello Guys,
I created a Jira yesterday and was not able to add participants. The Jira is now created and still not able to add anyone to it.
I have shared it with the participants but they can't access the Jira.
Anyone able to help?
Hello @Ruben Pacheco
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
In what type of project did you create the issue? Is it a Software project, a Service project, or a Business Management project?
Your post says you were not able to add participants, but you also said that you were able to share the issue with participants. This seems to be a contradiction.
Can you show us the issue and the fields where you have specified the participants?
Are the participants able to access Jira at all? Can they see other Jira issues?
Hi Trudy,
Thank you so much for your help.
Ok, I'm not able to add participants to the JIra.
But I can share the Jira with them, please see the screenshot attached.
When I share the Jira with them they can not access it or view it

Hello @Ruben Pacheco
Thank you for that additional information.
When you use the Share option, the person you share the issue with must
- be able to reach the Jira instance through the internet/intranet
- have a license to access your Jira instance as a User (versus a Customer)
- have Browse Projects permission in the Project that contains the issue.
To add people as Request Participants, the people you want to add must either
- be licensed Users of your Jira instance, or
- be defined as Customers of your Jira Service Management project.
Here is more information about adding Request Participants:

Neither option can be used to share the information with random people who don't have access to your Jira instance.
