We are trying to add Confluence to our existing Jira Cloud site (ryze-group.atlassian.net) so both products live on one site, instead of on two separate sites/orgs. When we do this via Administration > Add app > Confluence > Use an existing site > Add, we consistently get:
Unable to add app. This can happen when a site is behind on payments. Try reviewing Atlassian Administration, and if you are still having trouble contact support.
What we have already ruled out:
Has anyone run into this and found a fix? Would rather not stand up a duplicate site if avoidable.
UPDATE - RESOLVED: Atlassian Billing and Licensing support confirmed via live chat that there used to be a Confluence subscription under this site that had been canceled and deleted back in February, which left it unable to accept a new Confluence subscription. They reactivated it under the Free plan and it now works. Posting here in case anyone else runs into the same error for the same reason.
Hello @Shantanu Khanwalkar
The best would be to see with the Billing support if there is something that is stuck in the background. The link to billing support: https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/
Thanks Nikola, appreciate the pointer. We will follow up through the billing/purchasing support channel and share what we find.
