Getting this ⬇️

Unable to add app

This can happen when a site is behind on payments. Try reviewing Atlassian Administration, and if you're still having trouble contact support.

Hello @Udit Tayal

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

If you determine that there is not a billing issue causing this problem...

Did you previously have a Confluence subscription on the same site?

  • If so was that previous subscription deactivated/cancelled by your administrators or by Atlassian?
    • If so, when did that deactivation/cancellation occur?

Besides potential billing problems, if a previous subscription to the app has been deactivated/cancelled then it may still be in the process of being removed from your site. While that process is ongoing you may get an error message like the one you see, and would you would not be able to add the app to your site until the deletion is completed.

Your post tags indicate you are on a site with a paid Jira subscription, and your are an Organization Administrator. In that case I recommend that you open a case with Atlassian Technical Support. They will be able to determine if your have a subscription cancellation in progress.

Hi,

This error usually appears when the site has an active billing issue (e.g., overdue payment, failed renewal, or suspended subscription). When billing is not up to date, Atlassian restricts actions like installing or updating apps.

To resolve it, ask a site/org admin to:

Check Atlassian Administration → Billing → Subscriptions

Clear any outstanding invoices or payment failures

Ensure the subscription is active (not suspended)

Once billing is brought current, app installation should work normally. If the issue persists, contact Atlassian Support with your site details.

Hope this helps 👍
