Unable to access previously deactivated Jira Cloud site valerkamade.atlassian.net

Hello,

My Jira Cloud site valerkamade.atlassian.net was deactivated due to inactivity.

The site URL still exists and returns the following message:

"Your Atlassian Cloud site is currently unavailable."

I can no longer see this site in Atlassian Administration. The Sites section shows "No sites found".

However:
- the URL is still recognized by Atlassian support forms;
- entering valerkamade.atlassian.net is accepted as a valid site URL;
- I was previously the administrator of this site.

Could you please advise:

1. Does the site still exist in an archived or suspended state?
2. Is it possible to restore the site?
3. Is there a way to recover administrator access to the site?

Thank you.

Hello

As community members, we can't check the internal status of your Cloud site.😢

If you still have admin access, head over to admin.atlassian.com/billing and check under Subscriptions ➡️ Inactive to see if you can reactivate it yourself.

If the site isn't listed, you will need to contact Atlassian’s Purchasing & Licensing team privately to see if your data is still within the recovery window. Keep in mind that just because a login form still recognizes your URL, it doesn't guarantee the backend data is still recoverable.

Best,

Hi @Валерия ,

After a site is deactivated for inactivity it is not deleted straight away: the site and its data are held in a suspended state for a limited retention window, then permanently deleted. The URL still returning "currently unavailable" and still being accepted by the support forms suggests it may still be within that window, but only Atlassian can confirm the exact state from their backend, and the window is short, so this is time-sensitive.

Because the site no longer appears in Atlassian Administration (no subscription, "No sites found"), there is no self-service way to reactivate it or restore your admin access. Atlassian has to do it, and this works even on a free plan: raise a request with the billing and licensing team through the purchasing and licensing contact form. Give the exact site URL (valerkamade.atlassian.net), state that it was deactivated for inactivity, and that you were the administrator. They can confirm whether it is still recoverable and reinstate the site and your access if it is within the retention window. Do this as soon as you can, since once the window passes the data cannot be recovered. The retention terms are described in Atlassian's data retention policy.

Thank you both for your help and guidance.

Your suggestions pointed me in the right direction. I was finally able to find the Purchasing & Licensing request form and submit a recovery request for the site.

Before that, I kept getting redirected by the AI support flow and couldn't reach the appropriate contact channel.

Now I will wait for Atlassian's response regarding the recovery status of valerkamade.atlassian.net.

Thank you again for your assistance.
