Unable to Upgrade Jira from v7.11.2 to v8.3.4

Hi Team,

I am planning to upgrade our Jira from v7.11.2 to v8.3.4. I am following the procedure same application data and new database MYSQL v5.7.23. I am upgrading jira with new database connection. Why i am using new database means if upgrade fails, i can map to old database. If i upgrade both Jira and database for existing instance. I can't roll back since database upgrade to latest build number. So I am using new database with old application. I am getting the error "Jira had problems starting up". Please help me to proceed further.

As per error on screen only thing I can tell is, your DB connection settings are not fine.

So, please check your dbconfig.xml file in JIRA_HOME directory and see if database mentioned there exists and is accessible.
