Jira was previously set up on this account, but for some reason it seems to no longer be enabled and I am trying to enable Jira on this account again but when I try to set it up, it redirects me to a page to “Request your product” and when I submit a request it shows a message “Your account doesn’t require you to request products from an admin. Go back to www.atlassian.com to sign up for a product.”

In the Atlassian Admin panel I have ensured that this account is in the “org-admins”, “jira-admins-<organizationName>”, and “jira-software-users-<organizationName>” groups.

Hello @WAJT5

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

I think we need some more information.

You said Jira was previously set up but no longer seems to be enabled.

  1. What type of plan was being used; Free, Standard, or Premium?
  2. When was the last time anybody accessed that Jira environment?

If a Free plan was being used and nobody accessed Jira for 120 days, then the product subscription would have been deactivated due to inactivity. Emails would've been sent to the Organization Admins and Billing contacts for the product warning of the pending deactivation, and actual deactivation. After deactivation there would've been a short time period where the product could be reactivated and the data recovered. After that time period the data would be permanently deleted.

You said you were having trouble setting up Jira again.

Can you detail the steps you are executing to try to set up a new Jira subscription?

If you are an Organization Admin, you should be able to go to https://admin.atlassian.com, select your Organization, and go to the Apps menu. That page should show you a list of the products already enabled for the Organization. If Jira is not present there then click the Add App button. That will start a wizard that you can follow for re-subscribing to the Jira product.

I believe it was a Free plan so it makes sense why it was deleted.

I am trying to set up Jira similar to how you described. In https://admin.atlassian.com/ I click Products, click Add product, click Jira and click Select, enter a site name and see a green checkmark and click Agree and add, a loading spinner shows, then it redirects to a page saying "Request your product Your admin requires that you submit a request to use Jira. Provide some details about how you plan to use Jira. Your admin will review your request and get back to you." and I type in a reason and click Request product, then a red box with a message appears saying "We’re unable to let you continue Your account doesn’t require you to request products from an admin. Go back to www.atlassian.com to sign up for a product."
