Hello! I am trying to bulk move issues from one jira project to another jira project.
When I get to step 3 of the bulk operation, I am getting stuck because it's asking me to populate the "Epic Link" field.
I can't get past this step because if I leave it blank and move forward, it will clear out the Epic Link field for all 500 issues. If I populate an Epic link, it adds that Epic link for all 500 issues.
I am trying to find a way to get the 'Epic link" to not pop up during the bulk operation. I can't figure out what issues are causing this to show. I've been able to successfully move just the Epics and Tasks, but I can't move any stories or bugs without getting the epic link blocker.
In the past, I've a similar pop up has happened but it was "Epic name". I've been able to work around this one, because when issue types are transitioned to an Epic the epic name field sometimes doesn't come through, which as a result throws an error because it's a required field. Easy fix for this one is to go find the record in the bulk move that doesn't have an epic name and fix it.
I am confused why Epic Link is popping up at all since it is not a required field. Has anyone else experienced this/have a workaround?
Is it blocking you from moving forward, or just offering for you to change the Epic Link?
If you move one Story first (via bulk move), and don't populate anything into the Epic Link field which appears, does it still NULL the field?
