Transition Split Issue Option

All issues of a particular issue type are giving me the option to Transition Split Issue. When I click on the status to transition the issue, one of the option is always to Transition Split Issue to  "IN REVIEW." It doesn't matter what the current status is. What could be causing this?

Hi @carlos andrade welcome to the community.  This is more then likely due to a transition in the workflow that has it's value set to "Transition from from all statuses".  I'd suggest you talk to your Jira Admin to review the workflow and if this step is required or it's intended purpose.

Thank you so much @Craig Nodwell I had missed  the transition from All to "IN REVIEW" that was causing this. Is there a way to find out when his transition was added to the workflow? I can't find changes to the workflow in the log files.

What platform are you on?  If this is DC you have an audit log available to you, it may not show the actual edit but it will show an update on the workflow.  Other than that... unless the editor created a backup copy (you can find those in the InActive workflows).
