Did you mean:

Transfer all products to another organization you administer

CTO Spave February 6, 2024

I am trying to move the projects from one Jira Cloud to another, but when I go to Admin Settings, I get:

Transfer all products to another organization you administer

This feature is unavailable for your organization. To transfer your products to another organization, contact support and raise a ticket under the category Technical issues and bugs.

So how do I accomplish this?

Hello @CTO Spave

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Are you trying to move the entire Jira product to another organization, or do you just want to migrate the project data within one Jira Cloud instance to another Jira Cloud instance?

If you are truly trying to move the products, have you reviewed all the documentation on that topic?

https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/transfer-products-to-another-organization/

If you are only trying to migrate the Jira content, leaving the content and the Jira product also in the original organization, then you need to do a cloud-to-cloud migration.

Moving project that is in Jira Software to another account/org.

Your link has the same steps that lead me back to Settings > Copy Product Data which deadends me to the Community or Documentation that leads me back to deadend.

So I am not able to migrate or open a support ticket. Only to ask a question in Community hoping someone from Atlassian Tech Support sees this.

Hello @CTO Spave

I provided you with two links. The second one discusses Cloud to Cloud migration for content. What path did you follow, starting with that link, that lead you to the Move Products documentation?

This page specifically indicates individual projects can be moved between cloud sites.

https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/perform-a-cloud-to-cloud-migration-for-jira/

Since you are on a Free plan, you will not be able to open a support case for technical issues.

That is the link that leads to steps of going to Settings > Data Management > Copy product data

Which leads to the screenshots provided saying open a support ticket but like you said can't because it's a free account moving from to a paid account. And the ability to do the migration like the link you provided says is not available,.

I'm sorry, I'm confused.

When I click on the second link in my first response I get this:

In my last response I provided a new link:

https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/perform-a-cloud-to-cloud-migration-for-jira/

...which talks about the original way to access the moving of project data to another site, and the roll out of a new location to find that same functionality.

In your source Jira system do you find this option?

Settings (gear icon) > System > Migrate Cloud Site

Screenshot 2024-02-07 at 9.54.02 AM.png

That is the original location for the functionality to move project data from one Jira Cloud instance to another. That options still shows in my Jira instances, as mine have not been updated to show the functionality in its new location in the admin hub.

Can you provide screen images of what you are seeing as you navigate the pages, what options you are choosing along the way, and any messages that you are getting?

Hi @CTO Spave and welcome to the Community!  Looks like you need to submit a support issue.  https://support.atlassian.com/

Would love to but it sends me to ask a question here in the Community or read Docs that sends me back to the page saying not available.
