I'm the co-founder of the business that is using an Atlassian account, and the admin for the Trello and Bitbucket accounts associated to it.
But I (foolishly...) delegated the setup of the Jira to a junior developper who set himself as Admin and then promptly left the company, without any further contact and leaving himself as the admin.
I would like to know if it would be possible to transfer the Admin role to myself, and thus avoid losing all the work that has been done on this Jira.
Thanks in advance !
Hi,
I understand that your site-admin has left your company, and in turn you now have no way to administer that site. In cases like this the correct steps are to open a support ticket with us and choose the 'My Account' option. I see that you have done this, and in turn I have reached out to our support team to work with you on that issue to help here. Sorry for the confusion here.
I would recommend that you try the steps they have indicated in that latest response and work with our support team in that ticket.
For other users that might have this same question, the best way for your regain control of this site is to work with your IT or email team in order to regain control of the email address this former co-worker was using. If someone on your team can reactivate that account and have access to it, they can then follow the steps below to reset that account to gain access.
Following those steps is the best option to obtain site-admin role of this Cloud site.
Andy
