Transfer GitHub issues to JIRA

I have GitHub issues to track the work for my project. We want to transfer all the issues, stories, tasks to JIRA. Is there a way to get them with the Summary and Comments of each issue in GutHub Issues board.

Hi Venkata,

I have not tried this with GitHub, but have successfully done it with other systems. 

You can click on the + next to Spaces in Jira to create a new Space. Then go all the way down to the bottom left and select Import Data.

Then you will see an option on the right for GitHub. Click on that and follow the directions. 

This will leave the items in GitHub and create a new Space in Jira and import the issues. If it doesn't work like you want it to do, you can simply delete the project as you issues will still exist in GitHub. 

I suggest you give that a whirl and see how it goes.
