Track progress of stories when they are not in 'done' status

Hi, we are working with epics, stories and sub-tasks at the moment. 

Stories are only taken into account in the 'progress percentages' when they are marked as Done. Is there a way to consider stories as 50% completed or something when they have the status 'in progress'. ?

Based on the documentation and playing around with the boards, it does not appear that there is a way to do this.

It looks like the only way for it to track progress is by moving to the Done status.
