Too many pinned fields

I am getting the "Too many pinned fields" error that says:

"You've reached the maximum number of fields for this project. If you'd like to pin a new field, you'll need to unpin another."

I already tried unpinning some fields. They are removed from the top successfully, however, I cannot pin others, and the error continues showing up. Please advise.

Hi Camacho - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

It might be a caching problem with your browser. Try clearing your cache and/or incognito mode and see if that helps.

I'm having this issue as well. Incognito doesn't fix it. It also seems to be field-specific. I can pin/unpin several fields, but the 'Team' field does not work. I pinned it several times previously, but the field never moved into the pinned fields section. After a few attempts it now gives this error but only for that field.

I believe you have to use the api as mentioned here:
[JRACLOUD-81387] Admin control for pinning the fields and clearing pinned fields - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.

clear out your pins, and start over.
