To make component lead as mandatory while creating components

Is it possible to make component lead as mandatory/ Required field while creating components in Jira

Hi @Arya Soman ,

Not as far as I know. And that's for both on-prem and cloud environments. 
There's no built-in way to make this field mandatory.

I guess the workaround here would be to implement an internal process or policy to ensure users always set the lead when creating components. 📜

Apart from that, potentially, you could explore if you could build enforcement with Marketplace apps such as ScriptRunner or some other app 👀
