Time tracking in Default Screen Scheme

Deleted user August 25, 2019

Hi,

I'm struggling with this one; how do I enable Time tracking fields visible BY DEFAULT in the issue details view of every new project? I mean, I know how to activate the time tracking through settings (Jira settings / Issues / Time tracking), I know how to add the Time tracking AFTER I created a new project (Jira settings / Issues / Screens / Configure and then add the field), thing is, I'd like to have it as soon as a new project has been created instead of having to do it each time I create a new one; does that not work like permissions (once you edited the Default Permission Scheme each new project gets the same default setting)?

What am I missing?

Thanks, Marco

Hello @[deleted] ,

If the configuration of these projects is the same, you can consider useing share settings with an exsiting project.

Hi Ollie,

thanks for the tip; I wasn't aware about that, that's a very quick way to workaround; still a global config would sort that out once and for good but this is very helpful :)

ciao, Marco
