The ask here is for my team to put their planned holidays in Trello and the same be tracked automatically in a Google Sheet
The board has 12 lists (each list is a month) under which the team members create cards on their PTO plan
The template card has a Start Date - End Date, Approved by manager Checkbox & the Name of the Manager
Our HOD wants the data on an Google sheet that shows the total number of leaves taken by the team member (How many planned and How many approved)
He doesn't want to export into a CSV and do the gimmicks.
I tried Zapier, the zaps failed miserably to give the required data.(Ideally if the card is created it should create a line item on the Google sheet. Simple Zap did not meet the required expectations)
How can i track this data and get the required results?
Hi @Deepa Ramakrishnan ! Have you looked into Unito's Trello-Sheets integration? It's proper sync between Trello and Sheets, whereas Zapier is a one-off automation. The way it works is a Trello card would translate to a row in your sheet. You can choose to map over the fields from Trello that you need (title, dates, lists), and if that information changes (so if someone changes the date in a card), Unito will sync that change and update the relevant row in your sheet.
