Time entry error visible on burndown chart

A user entered a wrong value in the remaining estimate field (5 days rather than 5 hours). Accordingly the hour burndown chart got updated.

The user deleted the work entries for the task but still the values are visible in the history and also on the hour burndown chart.

Is there a way how to fix this?

We deleted the time entries with an administrator user and the user had to reenter the time entries again.

In another case nothing helped than to remove the task from the sprint and enter a new one instead.

This is still an issue in 2020
