Hey @jriccardo 👋
When it comes to the Time in Status, this add-on tracks the time for tickets across all statuses, not just closed or resolved ones.
This means you can capture time spent in any status, whether a ticket is active or in progress. You can analyze how long a ticket spends in various stages of its workflow, providing a full picture of its lifecycle, including during active statuses.
You can also book a live demo - we'll show you the application inside out and answer all your questions.
Add-on developed by my team.
I hope you find this helpful 🚀
Hi @jriccardo,
What "time in status" metric are you referring to?
Is it something from Jira or something introduced by an app/plugin? There are many apps on the Atlassian Marketplace that provide this metric and your question might be specific to one of them...
In general, "time in status" refers to the time an issue spends in each workflow status and should apply to any issue, not just closed/resolved ones.

Thank you all. You have answered my question, confirming what I thought but now confirmed.
Are any data fields or data stored in the Time in Status field and accessible via ODBC with using a Marketplace app that handles this?

Hello @jriccardo ,
In Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira you can export the reports in to various formats easily such as CSV and XLS. You can import these data in your external databases if you need. Please see the screenshot below.
Also the app has a REST API so you can get the reports via REST. You can find detailed information about our REST Reporting through here.
You can also integrate our app with BI tools like PowerBI, eazyBI etc.
If you wish, you can also schedule a live demo. We will provide a comprehensive overview of the application and address any inquiries you may have.
Hope it helps,
Gizem

Hi @jriccardo
If you are open to try a mktplace app, pls do take a look at
With this app you generate time in status for multiple issues whether past or current with multiple filter and grouping options. You can also group your statuses to define your resolution times. The app can easily be added as a dashboard gadget.

Hi @jriccardo
This is an area where many Jira users rely on apps from the Atlassian Marketplace to fulfil their reporting needs.
If a Marketplace app is an option for you, I think you'd like the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of so-called history columns that aren’t natively available, including an issue's time in [status], or time between [status] and [status].
This is how it looks in action:
As you can see above, you can easily sort and filter by your history columns, and also use them across JXL's advanced features, such as support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
Of course, you can also export your data to XSLX (Excel, Google Sheets) or CSV in just two clicks.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
