We have two tickets that were linked to the same project ticket that was deleted. These two tickets are now showing "This issue can no longer be opened" but they still appear on boards and in searches. I have checked the database and I can see the two orphaned issues still exist but they cannot be accessed through Jira interface. Is there a way to delete these tickets or access them to close them off of our boards?
Hi, @Cj Percosky
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
It's a strange situation. In your place, I'd try to search for these issues using JQL and then perform a bulk deletion. This operation doesn't require opening the issues individually.
If that doesn't work, you can contact Atlassian Support for assistance by creating a support ticket.
Thank you for the response! When I get the search down to the two tickets and select Bulk Change it shows them but will not allow me to select and click Next to advance. Every time I do it unchecks them

Hi CJ - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I have not seen that happen before. You might try updating them through the bulk change functionality. Maybe try to update them to clear our the parent, if that is how they were linked.
You should also be able to delete them through that bulk change process. You will need Delete Issues permission though.
