The backlog and the current sprint got mixed up.

The sprint I closed last week is appearing as the active sprint. Completed items are visible in the current sprint, but my new-week tasks are missing.

All the "Done" items needs to be in the last column to the right on the board when you close the sprint. Otherwise they will not be considered to be done in the sprint and will either be moved back to the backlog or moved to the next sprint. You get the question what you want to do when you close the sprint. 

Please check the Sprint report to see if the work Items are listed under the heading "Issues not completed in sprint"

In that case you can re-open the sprint and add the work items to the last column in the board and close the sprint again.
