I have reviewed a few people asking for this same capability but nothing seems to resolve the issue and the below is exactly what I need to happen to accurately log\track time for each Epic we have. We are using this solution for an Infrastructure team which is not doing release\version type roll outs and I have not been able to get the work logged hours to update within the Epic so Original and Remaining time just stays the same. I am new to Jira so very green when it comes to customizing things to try and automate anything but need to try and find a way to accomplish exactly what is listed below.
This should not be too difficulty since it seems straight forward as to how something should flow and work but.. not working.
Works is being done and it should look like this:
Epic: Original 20 hours / remaining 12 hours / logged 8 hours
Task 1: 6 hours total / remaining 4 hours / logged 2 hours
Task 2: 14 hours total / remaining 8 hours / logged 6 hours
