Hello,
I created a project like Jira Work Management and realized that there are many limited features compared to Jira Software.
Is there any way for me to change my current project to Jira Software so that I can use additional features?
If not, was there a way for me to create a new project in Jira Software and migrate what I have in Work Management to my new project in Jira Software?
You'll need to create a new Project and move your Issues across; you can see how to do that on this help page: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/convert-a-project-to-a-different-template-or-type/

For a while, there used to be just a flag you could flip (not for all four products to any of the other four, only some worked, from memory, never JSM -> other, but you could do JWM and JSW to JSM), but I don't think it's there for any now.
Check project settings -> details - this has the type of project listed. If you have full admin rights, and there is still a vestige of the convert stuff, it will be a drop-down).
But realistically, you are looking at "create new project of the right type, configure it as best you can to match the old one, then bulk move everything into it".
With JSW though, if it is the boards you are looking at, you can create boards in other projects that work with JWM projects. You just can't have them look like they are "in" JWM projects (JSW boards always have to live in a JSW project, or be flagged as "personal")
