Swimlane and component problems: only allows me to select a sub set of Components.

I can create components not problem,

when I create Swim lanes for components not a problem.

However

I cant create a swim lane for all my components only a subset that appears in the drop down box even if I givee the correct syntax.

e.g if I have 26 components say A to Z it only allows me to select say 15 of these. even though the other components are valid and assignable. very frustrating as I cant set up a swim lane on these ?

On a scrum board, swimlanes can be based on:

• Queries
• Stories
• Assignees
• Epics
• Projects

Are you using Queries with JQL filtered on component?

Yes 

The issue is i can create the swim lane on the Kanban ( not scrum board) 

Component = Group Initiative - A

but I cant create the swim lane for say: 

Component = Group Initiative - T ,

 it does not appear in the pick box. 

I have tried manually typing in with the correct syntax and also nothing.

I thought it might be a swim lane limit, but no same issue.

I seemed to have resolved this by copying and exisitng "working" one into the field and modifying. still does not work with direct entry.
