Subtasks and Target Start Date

I use target start dates to manage my work queue.

For Tasks, Epics, and Stories, I can view the Target start field and pin it on the issue detail screen.  For Subtasks, that field cannot be viewed on the issue detail screen--but it does exist on the back end and can be viewed in filter results. 

The inability to view the Target start field for Subtasks on the detail screen means the only way to edit it (that I can find) is through the Bulk Edit functionality. It works--but it's clunky and time-consuming.

Is there any way to make the Target date fields available on the issue page? Or is there some faster way to edit that data for subtasks, beyond bulk edit?

Note that editing the layout in projects settings doesn't work--target start and target and cannot be added. If anyone else has more info please share.
