Sub-tasks with limited visibility

Виктор Островкский February 20, 2019

Dear All,

Please, guide me with the following case:

I have a simple project in Jira, the purpose of the project - sharing of static data (text, pdf-files, jpg-images)... Like "contacts database"

In issues of this project I'm storing information which must be accessible to wide range of our jira-users.

But I also have a couple of information (text, jpg-images), which is issue-related and must be accessible only for few (not for all) jira-users.

I think that a can use sub-tasks for storing restricted inforamtion...

Please, guide me - what I must tune in security of Jira for such case...

May be - you would suggest another way or solution to realise such case in Jira...

Sub-tasks take on the security of their parent, so you should store the restricted information separately, either in a project that most users cannot see, or on issues protected with an issue type security scheme
