What type of space/project are you using?
Click the ellipsis button next to the space name and tell us what the last two lines of the pop-up say.
Work Type Schemes apply only to Company Managed spaces.

This happens when Story and Task are not mapped to the "Work" level in your project's issue type hierarchy.
In company-managed projects, admins can add issue types to the schema by going to the Projects Settings > Work Items > Types and editing the work types:
In team-managed projects, go to Project settings and use the "add work type" link like shown in the screenshot:

All the schemes are configured the same though, no difference, I am using one of them

That is based on the work item type scheme your space is using. If you want to have story as an option then you have to add that to your scheme, or if you are using a team-managed project add it to the list of work items that the space has.
