Story and sub-task templates

Is there a way to create story and sub-task templates.

for example when we want to onboard something we always have specific things then needs to happen and questions that need to be answered.

Is there a way to configure a template for this?

We are using jira on prem and confluence and plugins is not an option for now

First suggestion is to use Jira Service Management for this.

Other option is to set a context for the description field for the Story issue type.

This needs to be done in the Jira admin settings.

You can only set a single context for a single issue type in a single project.
