Hello guys,

I have worked with JIRA before, but I have not created a JIRA project myself. Currently, I am working on my bachelor project and some of my stories have messed up and have not been correctly reflected atll or at least i do not know how to structure my stories and tasks. I have a few questions

I have a story estimated at 40h. However, when I add sub-tasks and assign estimates to them they are added to the estimation of the story and I do not want this. But if I delete the estimation at the story, i cannot see the estimation in the backlog which i want to. So how do I handle this? Where is it correct to put my estimations and log my work?
Also how can i make my burndown charts represent the time logged in my subtasks? Is it not possible at all and should i log time in my story in order to see it in the burndown chart?

I have read some documentation, but at this point i think i am far too confused.
Thank you in advance!

Regards
Konstantina
