Hi!

Is there a way to manage workflow-step-related result information in a structured way:

  • to have customizable forms
  • to link to custom database tables

Example:

  • Store results of workflow-step "Define effort" in a dedicated preformatted database-field, linked to the specific issue

Thanks for your answer, best regards, Thomas

This sounds like you're pre-defining a technical answer to a question you haven't really stated here, rather than working with the software you've got.

I'd suggest telling us what you're trying to achieve in Jira/Confluence/whatever (it would be useful to know what system you're looking at as well!), rather than jumping halfway to a solution that could be utterly wrong. Forget the database and customisable forms and storage methods for now, ask about what the user is currently seeing and what you'd like them to see.

Without that, then the generic answer is "Jira does forms, they're called screens, you don't mess with the database because it handles it all for you, and you probably need to look up custom-fields"
