With the upgrade to new version of Jira, we lost one small feature that we have found very useful in the past.
For status transitions, we have had quick buttons for the two most relevant transitions. These were placed next to the Workflow dropdown.
The new combined status, transition and workflow dropdown is good in itself, but it doesn't replace the quick buttons.
Previously we could update the status with one click. Now it requires one click to expand the dropdown, time to select the correct transition (identifiying it and then moving the mouse to the correct place) and then a second click.
This may not sounds like much but it adds up when updating many issues. It is also an objectively more complicated process and is more error prone (for example, accidentally selecting the incorrect option in the dropdown).
As a user I cannot see any downsides to preserving this feature as there is ample space for these buttons.
Why were these removed?
Can we bring them back via some configuration?
If not, can you reintroduce them?
Hi @Patrik Dallmann , Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Could you please give a little more information. For instance, are you using cloud, server or data center. If server or dc, which version have you upgraded from to what?
Thank you!
Hi,
I don't have the exact version but we upgraded from 8 something to 9.4.14.
I believe it is a server version but I'm not the administrator. I did ask our administrator but the did not know.
Thanks.
