Status and Column Name Don't Match

We have two columns that force statuses .    The To Do column forces a status of "awaiting client feedback" and the Awaiting client feedback column forces a status of To Do.  Where do I find the settings driving this behavior?

Hi @Margaret McKnight welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You'll need either a Jira, Project or Board Administrator to go to the Board settings via the Action button (...) on the top right corner of your agile board.

Then select Columns from the Settings sidebar. There you can move statuses to another column, create an additional column and drag at least one status to it, or rename columns to better represent the status or statuses within that column.
