Status Done and Resolution Won't Fix

I have recently created a new workflow for my subtasks, which is a simple "To do", "in progress", and "done" workflow. Each status has "all statuses can transition to" enabled. Only the "subtasks" issue type is associated with this workflow; yet none of the subtasks in my project can change their status. The buttons are there, but pressing them does not change the status. What am I doing wrong here? I'm fairly new to this, so I apologise in advance if this is a newbie fail.

I needed to include the "Set issue status to the linked status of the destination workflow step." post function.
