Hello,
I've set the date format in the system/look & feel setup :
So the complete date format should be : "dd/MMMM/yy HH:mm"
Now, i've set up to Global Automation to complete 2 Custom Fields :
- Start Date (Locked) - Type : Date Picker
- Date de Résolution (Not Locked) - Type : Picker Date
First You can see that the Type is not the same, 2nd that one is locked & the other is not.
The display format also isn't the same :
We can see that the Start Date doest not respect the System Look & Feel setup : "dd/MMMM/yy HH:mm" but the "Date de Résolution" does (slight change because my personal langugage setup is set on US i guess)
My question is now this :
- How to change the format for the Start Date (and therefore Ending Date) knowing that they do not respect the system look & feel setup ?
Thanks a lot for your help on this
Hi @Cey Dimpre -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What problem are you trying to solve by doing this?
Start Date is a built-in field, intended to be a date only. It has no time component. It drives the behavior of things like roadmaps/timelines. Why would you want to change that? I hypothesize there would be impacts to Jira's functions if we were able to do so.
Kind regards,
Bill
Hello Bill,
no problem at all, we rather use standard fields than custom one & therefore we use "Start Date" and "End Date" to see when a ticket has been started or closed.
Therefore it is usefull to the teams to have the precise Hour but as you just told me, it seems that this is not possible with those too
Only solution would be to use custom Date fields i guess
Thanks a lot for your feedback on this topic
