Sprints from two project boards are showing up in the sprint field even though I'm in one board?

I have 2 project boards which both have sprints created in their own Backlog. However, when I'm in one board and go to the sprint field to assign a task that is in that board it shows me all sprints created for both boards in the dropdown. I don't understand why this is happening, it leaves room for human error if someone assigns a task to the other board's sprint instead of the correct board.

I'm really hoping there's a way to fix this!

@vildana_ermaya  , there is an open request in jira cloud backlog of atlassian for this problem -> https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-10805

Problem Definition

Currently, there does not seem to be anything that limits which Sprint an issue can be added into when done via the Issue View/Create/Edit Screens (with the 'Sprint' field). This can cause confusion as it could show Sprints from boards from a different project or cause users to link the issue to the wrong Sprint due to Sprints having the same name.

Workaround

Since Sprint names are not unique in JIRA, try using unique Sprint names with a prefix of the Project so that it will be easier to distinguish them.
