Sprints & reports are not recognising a 'done' status

Within our project workflows we have 2 done statuses (pictured below)

The first done status of 'Dev Complete' is when tickets have been through the initial round of development and testing.

The statuses after 'Dev Complete' are then the ticket moving into the release workflow. Once a ticket is ready to be cut into a release it moves out from Dev Complete through the following steps. When a ticket is 'Done' it has been released to production.

Teams are currently working in 2 week sprints and we would like 'Dev Complete' to be recognised as the status where the story point(s) can be claimed as done in the sprint, so they count towards our overall velocity. This is because the release process is done outside of the actual sprint as it's a separate process.

We are having trouble with sprint reporting and completing a sprint:

Sprint reporting - when a ticket moves to the 'dev complete' status, although this is still a done status, these tickets are still marked as 'tickets not yet complete' in sprint reports and burndown charts.

Completing a sprint - when we are completing a sprint and there are tickets that are 'dev complete', these are not being removed from the backlog board and are automatically moving into the next sprint to be planned.

To make this more complicated (sorry) we are moving tickets from dev complete through the release process throughout the sprint. This is because we don't wait until the end of the sprint to release tickets, we release them as and when they are ready.

Any help to figure out how we can get reports & sprint planning in the backlog, to recognise 'dev complete' as a done status alongside 'done' would be really helpful!

Hi @Annie Kearns , so for issues (work items) to be consider complete in sprints the status(es) must be in the right most column. I don't see an image of your board so unsure where your 'done' statuses fall within your columns.
