Sprint report not changed after moving tickets to a closed sprint

June February 17, 2023

Hi there,

I updated 9 Done tickets and moved them to a previously closed sprint using bulk update.

However looking at the sprint report, 8 tickets are showing as "Issues removed from Sprint" (ticket 27,28,29,30,40,41,48,63)

While only 1 issue is showing  under completed issues (ticket 26)

Is there a way to update the sprint report to show they were closed within the sprint?

Thank you.

Hello @June

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Were the issues actually closed within the time frame of the sprint? Or were they removed from the sprint and closed outside the time frame of the sprint?

The sprint report will not update based on changes that happen after the sprint is completed. To make it update you would need to reopen the sprint, make the changes, and re-complete the sprint.

Hi Trudy,

Thank you for your response.

Looking at the sprint report, it was closed on Feb 16

And I looked at each ticket and they were all closed within that timeframe (Feb 6 -15).

But it does make sense that I have to reopen the sprint to update the sprint report. If I do that, do I have to re-complete the tickets also while the sprint is active?

Appreciate the help.

No, you do not have to recomplete the issues.

Do note that reopening and re-completing the sprint will change the sprint end date to the current date, and you can't force it back to its original end date.

Thank you Trudy, for this. This has been resolved.

Cheers,

June
