Split tickets do not retain the original image assets - Jira bug or is there a workaround?

Problem: I have a ticket with requirements and relevant images attached in the description. This ticket is applicable for 3 of my frontend engineers (Web, iOS, and Android). When I use the "Split issue" function, almost everything is split as expected, except for the images. The original ticket has all of the images attached which load perfectly fine, but all of the split tickets have broken image assets.

The only workaround for this issue I've found is to clone a ticket one-by-one. This ensures that the images are cloned properly along with all descriptions and fields. However, it requires a lot more extra clicks if I need to clone something 3+ times which is the main benefit of the "split" function.

Any ideas?

This is not a supported feature in either Jira Server or Jira cloud. If you'd like, you can vote for the feature request here - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-14360.

if you don't want to clone multiple tickets at a time, you could try looking at some plugins on the marketplace. 
Plug-ins such as Bulk Clone or Deep Clone may suit your needs, although those may be more for cloning page trees/Epics rather than cloning a single issue multiple times.
